Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport firefighters reached a burning Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet 100 within the required response time, and extinguished the fire in approximately 16 minutes, according to the airport. The operating company says fire-rescue vehicles reached the scene on the 5th of May about 1 minute ahead of the regulatory standard.
Russian regulations dictate that firefighters must be able to reach the ends of each runway within 3 minutes. After the aircraft landed on runway 24L at 18:30, says the airport operator, an air traffic controller sounded an alarm, and two firefighting vehicles arrived at the scene within 2minutes of the touchdown.

An Embraer E190 from Myanmar National Airlines has performed a landing without its nose gear, leaving the aircraft in a disabled state on the runway.
The aircraft,operating flight UB103 from Yangon to Mandalay when the pilots had to perform a landing with the nose gear retracted. The landing came after the pilots performed two low passes for ground crew to report back if the gear was extended or not as well as emergency gear extension procedures.
The aircraft, with 89 passengers landed with no injuries.

Etihad Airways has shown its willingness to commit to a capital injection in order to remain a minority shareholder in a restructured Jet Airways. The UAE flag carrier, which holds a 24% stake says that "subject to conditions" it would be prepared to "reinvest" in Jet. The Abu Dhabi-based airline warns that it cannot be expected to be the sole investor in Jet and that, "amongst other requirements", additional "suitable" investors would need to provide the majority of the required capital.
